Welcome, Detective! 🕵️‍♂️ Today we are going to learn the secret code to tell if something is alive, dead, or if it was never alive at all!

The 7 Super Powers of Living Things

If something does ALL of these 7 things, it is Alive!

Does it move?

Does it breathe?

Does it feel things?

Does it grow?

Can it have babies?

Does it clean waste?

Does it eat/drink?

Remember this name to remember the rules!

LivingDo all 7 things right now. (Example: A dog, a tree, you!)

Non-LivingNever did the 7 things. (Example: A rock, water, a car).

Once-LivingWas alive before, but stopped doing the 7 things. (Example: A dried leaf, a wooden chair).
